1. Introduction

Welcome to Cake Korner Cambridge (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our cakes and baked goods. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering from us, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

3. Orders & Acceptance

  • Orders may be placed online, by phone, or by direct communication.
  • All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
  • An order confirmation email confirms receipt of your order, not acceptance.
  • A contract is formed only once we confirm your order.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.

4. Pricing

  • All prices are listed in British Pounds (GBP).
  • Prices include VAT where applicable.
  • Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
  • Prices may change without notice.

5. Payment

We accept:

  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • Cash (collection orders only)

All online payments are processed securely through encrypted payment gateways. We do not store full card details.

Custom cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking.

6. Collection Policy

Collection is available from:

1, Falmouth Avenue, Cambridge, CB3 0UF

  • Collections are available daily from 11:00 AM.
  • Customers must select their collection date and time at checkout.
  • Cakes must be collected at the agreed time.
  • Once collected, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer.
  • We are not liable for any damage occurring after collection.

7. Delivery Policy

Local Delivery (Within 5 Miles of Cambridge)

  • Flat rate: £9.99
  • Free delivery for orders over £120
  • Delivery date must be selected at checkout.
  • We will call when we are on our way.
  • Someone must be available to receive the order.

Outside 5 Miles

  • Please contact us before placing your order.
  • Additional charges may apply.

Failed Delivery

If no one is available:

  • We may return the order.
  • A redelivery fee will apply.
  • No refund will be issued for perishable goods if delivery fails due to customer unavailability.

8. Custom Cakes & Design

  • Custom designs require written confirmation.
  • Final approval is required before production.
  • Changes after approval may incur additional charges.
  • Minor design variations may occur as all cakes are handmade.

9. Allergies & Dietary Information

Customers must inform us of any allergies at the time of ordering.

Our kitchen handles common allergens including:

  • Nuts
  • Dairy
  • Gluten
  • Eggs

We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

Customers with severe allergies order at their own risk.

10. Returns & Refunds

As our products are perishable and made to order, we do not accept returns.

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

Issues must be reported within 24 hours with photographic evidence.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

We are not responsible for:

  • Damage after collection
  • Incorrect storage by the customer
  • Delays due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
